A deep buried IED sent an M1 Abrams tank flying in the air in Iraq. The Abrams did not break a track and kept rolling after the massive explosion. No U.S. military were injured in the attack.

    I was the driver. We all made it out. Just got beat up pretty bad. That tank belonged to D Co 1-66 Armor, 1BCT, 4ID just north of Camp Taji right on MSR Tampa.

      My brother. I was in your sister unit, 3-66AR out of FT. Hood during this timeframe and I know our brigade took some hits. I’m glad you all made it out of that situation safely.
